For RAW I use:

* Nikon View to generate JPG Previews in the NEF
* Nikon View to rotate
* iView MediaPro (now owned by MS) to sort, choose, rename, and annotate
* Nikon Capture to batch convert
* SendToSmugmug to upload

I'm experimenting with Lightroom to do smarter, more individual conversion. I'm a little afraid of muching with the images too much without actually seeing them on a proper monitor.

For JPG:
* ACDSee to rotate
* iView MediaPro (now owned by MS) to sort, choose, rename, and annotate
* SendToSmugmug to upload

And I just use iTunes for music, also.

I use a combination of ACDSee, Picasa, and increasingly Adobe Bridge to view pictures. Once I started shooting RAW, everything was too slow on my machine, but with newer versions of all of these 3 programs the experience has improved markedly.

I have been experimenting with Adobe Lighroom product, and it seems extremely good. Have not had a chance to try Apple Aperture yet.
